We are talking about technology, already in use in industry, today used daily also in the field of dental technology, which finally allows us to have, by means of direct intraoral scanning, or from models, a computerized file.
CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software enables the design of prosthetic products: the design file is sent to the computer-aided machine (CAM), whether it is an edger, a milling machine, a printer, or a laser; in this way the element obtained is brought to completion in its final processing step, so it can be sent to the dental practice.
This technology allows for the use of a multitude of materials, thereby easily meeting a number of diverse needs.
